A: Occupational therapy is a client-centred health profession promoting health and wellbeing through occupation. Occupation refers to the everyday activities that people do as individuals, in families, and with the communities to occupy time and bring meaning and purpose to life.
Q: Why Occupational Therapy for Children?
A: Occupational Therapy practitioners have adequate skill set to enhance development positively in sensory processing, motor, cognitive, social, and emotional, communication, moral, self-help, adaptive behaviour. Occupational Therapist establish goals in collaborating with the families to make meaningful progress. Occupational therapist will remediate underlying impairments and will focus on enabling the child and participation through accommodation and adaptations to the environment with evidence based interventions.
